2008 Superbowl Splat, February 1st - 3rd, 2008:
Before we start explaining the tournament, we want to let you know that the person who brings the OLDEST Olympus racquetball tournament t-shirt will receive a PRIZE! So dig in those dressers, racquetball players!
Update 2/12/2008: The award for the "oldest racquetball t-shirt contest" goes to Greg Liebfried! Greg must have deep dresser drawers, since he found a 1989 Dubuque, Iowa, tournament t-shirt. WOW!
2008 Super Bowl Splat Details
2008 Starting Times: Available by calling after noon on Thursday, January 31st, 2008
Awards: Trophies 100% for open players based on draw
Hospitality: Snacks and beverages available throughout the tournament. Dinner provided on Friday, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday. We'll have a Saturday night social hour.
Entry form and deadline fee:
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008. Entry Form and Phone entries accepted with Visa/Mastercard.
Entry Fee:
Open-- $40.00 1st event, $25.00 2nd event
Amateur-- $30.00 1st event, $15.00 2nd event
Junior-- $15.00 1st event, $10.00 2nd event
Official Ball:
Wilson. Please provide your own warm-up balls.
Understanding:
This is a USRA sanctioned event. All USRA rules will apply. Games to 15 points, tiebreakers to 11. Consolation bracket will be 2 out of 3 games to 11 points, the final match is two games to 15. Winners must referee the following match. Eyewear designed for racquet sports must be worn during play. For more information, please see this USRA website.
